STRATTON – Jacqueline W. Ricker, 73, died at her home in Stratton, on Feb. 23.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in Flagstaff, the daughter of Goff Wing and Arleen (Vigue) Wing. She attended Stratton schools, graduating in the Class of 1949. That same year she married John Ricker, who would be her husband for 55 years. They began their life together in Stratton, then moved to Falmouth where they lived for 38 years, where they also raised five children. From there, they returned to Stratton.
She was a homemaker all her life, and loved doing crafts. She was one of the organizing members of the “True Fans of Elvis” club of Portland.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John; her five children, Kathy Afsary of Las Vegas, Nev., Donna Ricker of West Buxton, Sandra Burrows and her husband, Lysle, of North Berwick, Brian Ricker and his wife, Tracy, of Eustis, and John Ricker Jr., and his wife, Suzette, of Falmouth; and seven grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one brother, Ralph Wing.
