LEWISTON – Juliette B. Begin, 79, of 16 Mark St., died Monday, Feb. 21, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a long illness, with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston, April 20, 1925, the daughter of Eugene and Corinne Gauthier Dumais. She was educated in local schools, and was married Aug. 31, 1946, to Robert J. Begin.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the former Robert Hall Clothing Store and later at the Auburn K-Mart. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and loved playing pinochle on Friday evenings with her husband, Robert, and son, Bob, and his wife, Jeannine. She was very competitive and liked beating “the guys.”
She is survived by her husband of Lewiston; her son, Robert E. Begin and his wife, Jeannine, of Lisbon; two grandsons, Michael and his wife, Lisa, and Gregory and his wife, Tina; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, and Emma; as well as many nieces and nephews.
