TURNER — Kayla Leclerc registered a hat trick on Tuesday to propel Leavitt to a 6-2 romp over Morse in a KVAC field hockey contest on Tuesday.

Kaityln Leclerc chipped in for the Hornets (4-2) with a pair of goals, while a single tally from Madeline Hanscom completed the scoring. Paigle Willis and Leah Totman each scored a goal for Morse (4-2).

Hailey DeMascio handled netkeeping duties for Leavitt, while Sophie Wilson and Anastasia Alaboudi combined to deflect nine shots for Morse.

Messalonskee 5, Oxford Hills 0

OAKLAND — Kaitlyn Smith led a group of four players to tally goals Tuesday as Messalonskee overpowered Oxford Hills 5-0 in a mid-season field hockey contest.

Smith led the Eagles (5-0-0) with two goals, while Chloe Tilley, Haley Lowell and Megan Quirion also tallied to complete the scoring.

Julia Vigue needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Kaisa Heikkinen, Maddy Day and Jenna Moxcey combined to deflect 12 shots for Oxford Hills.

Skowhegan 5, Edward Little 0

AUBURN — Haley Carter led a group of five players to score a goal Tuesday as Skowhegan rolled to a 5-0 field hockey victory over Edward Little.

Julia Steeves, Alexis Michonski and Emily Reichenback also tallied for Skowhegan (6-1) to complete the scoring.

Leah Savage needed only one save to record the shutout, while Elise Syphers turned aside 23 shots for the Red Eddies (3-4).

Hampden 2, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — Clair Scobie opened the scoring with a goal at 27:28 of the first half as Hampden edged Lewiston 2-1 in field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.

The Bronocs (3-4) scored twice in the first half, taking a 2-1 lead at the midpoint. Grace Bennett tallied the second Hampden goal.

Sierra Connor-Schade assisted a goal by Erin lachance with 3:03 remaining in the first half to put the Blue Devils (0-6) on the board.

Boys’ soccer

Lewiston 6, Hampden 0

LEWISTON — Senior forward Yusuf Mohamed and sophomore forward Bilal Hersi netted a pair of goals each as Lewiston blanked Hampden 6-0 in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils (4-1-1) executed a flurry of goals in an 11 minute span in the first half, and took a 4-0 lead into the break.

Goalie Kenneth Penny fended off 15 shots for the Broncos, while goalies Cooper Millett and Dido Lumu combined for one save apiece in the winning effort.

Oxford Hills 3, Leavitt 3 (2OT)

TURNER — Garrett Addison netted his second goal of the game with two minutes left in regulation, allowing Leavitt to salvage a 3-3 tie against Oxford Hills in a hard-fought boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.

Connor Cyr also tallied for the Hornets (2-2-3) to complete the scoring. Spencer Strong scored all three of the Vikings’ (1-4-1) goals. Leavitt went up 2-1 with a late penalty kick in the first half.

Sam Morin made 10 saves for Oxford Hills, while Ben Hutchins turned aside 13 shots between the posts for Leavitt.

Pine Tree Academy 3, Rangeley 1

RANGELEY — Levi Miongo netted a pair of goals in the second half on Tuesday to lead Pine Tree Academy to a 3-1 mid-season boys’ soccer win over Rangeley.

Chris Amisi also talllied for Pine Tree (4-1) to complete the scoring. Leo Perez scored the lone goal for Rangeley (1-4) with an assist from Kenny Thompson.

Liam Knowles made nine saves for Pine Tree Academy, while Hunter Lowell deflected five shots for the Lakers.

Mt. Abram 3, Dirigo 0

SALEM — Freshman Kenyon Pillsbury recorded his first career varsity goals Tuesday with a hat trick as Mt. Abram hustled to a 3-0 boys’ soccer win over Dirigo.

Oskar Martinez also contributed for Mt. Abram with an assist.

Nate Luce and Jack Deming combined to make two saves for Mt. Abram, while Wes Libby turned aside an impressive 25 shots for the Cougars.

Maranacook 3, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON — Senior midfielder Micah Charette netted the first goal with 10:44 to go in the first half as Maranacook cruised to a 3-0 victory over Mt. Blue in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Black Bears led 2-0 at the half, and outpaced the Cougars 10-1 in shots on goal.

Goallie Hunter Bolduc made seven saves for Mt. Blue, while goalie Ryan Worster only needed on deflection to earn the win in net for Maranacook.

Telstar 2, Winthrop 0

BETHEL — Tristen Lilly scored a tally in each half to lead Telstar to a 2-0 victgory over Winthrop in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Zach Hill connected a long pass to Lilly, who went in for the first score at the 28:29 mark for the Rebels. Ten minutes into the second stanza, Lilly booted his second goal of the game from a scrum in front of the net.

Goalie Lucas Grube made 12 saves for the Ramblers, while goalie Boston Ludden turned back nine to earn the win in net for Telstar.

Girls’ soccer

Edward Little 5, Skowhegan 1

SKOWHEGAN — Lauren Berube and Piper Norcross each scored twice on Tuesday as Edward Little hustled to a 5-1 girls’ soccer victory over Skowhegan.

Grace Beaudet also tallied for the Red Eddies (3-2-1) to complete the scoring. Alyssa Everett scored the lone goal for winless Skowhegan (0-5).

Taylor Depot made seven saves for Edward Little, while Amber Mooney turned aside nine shots for Skowhegan.

Yarmouth 8, Poland 0

POLAND — Sara D’Appalonia registered a hat trick on Tuesday to propel powerhouse Yarmouth to a 8-0 girls’ soccer win over Poland.

Ellie Purgavie and Isabel Brannon chipped in with two goals each for the undefeated Clippers (7-0), while Hannah Marrill also tallied.

Mededith Lane made five saves for Yarmouth to preserve the shutout, while Sydney Hudson and Sophie Vallee combined to deflect 16 shots for the Knights (1-4-1).

Rangeley 1, Pine Tree Academy 0

RANGELEY — Natasha Haley found the net all by herself with 7:30 remaining in regulation to give Rangeley a 1-0 mid-season girls’ soccer victory over Pine Tree Academy.

Sydney Royce needed only a single save to earn the shutout, while Bianna Foley turned aside four shots between the posts for Pine Tree Academy.

Gray-New Gloucester 7, Fryeburg 0

GRAY — Jordan Grant netted a hat trick on Tuesday to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 7-0 mid-season girls’ soccer romp over Fryeburg.

Jaley Martin, Abilgail Michaud, Laurel Thomas and Alexa Thayer also tallied for the Patriots (3-4) to complete the scoring.

Chelsea Davis needed only a single save to notch the shutout, while Morgan Fusco deflected 10 shots for winless Fryeburg (0-6).

Richmond 4, Buckfield 1

BUCKFIELD — Junior midfielder Caitlin Kendrick notched a hat trick as Richmond dispatched Buckfield 4-1 in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Ashley Brown netted the first tally, before Kendrick rattled off three consecutive goals over two halves for the Bobcats (4-3).

Junior Julia Dow found the back of the net in the second half for the Bucks (2-1-1) to prevent a shutout.

Goalie Cara Merrill had six saves for Buckfield, while goalie Sydney Tilton repelled five to earn the win in net for Richmond.

Lewiston 1, Hampden 1 (2OT)

HAMPDEN — Taylor Chmberlain tied the game 10 minutes after the first goal, and Lewiston played to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Hampden in girls’ soccer action Tueaday afternoon.

The Broncos (3-2-1) scored three minutes into the game unassisted by Aurelia Marieta.

Sara Robert assisted Chamberlain’s equalizer for the Blue Devils (1-3-1).

Goalie Gemma Landry made nine saves for Lewiston, while goalie Emma Dysart blocked 12 shots for Hampden.
