FREEPORT – Cecile C. Breton, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 19, at The Freeport Nursing Home.

Born in Lisbon, on April 16, 1911, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Piche) Breton. Cecile spent some of her early years going to school in Canada and became a graduate of Lisbon High School.

She spent most of her working years at the family-owned Bretons Market and also worked at the movie theater in Lisbon.

She was a previous member of St. Ann’s Church and enjoyed her family especially at family outings. She also enjoyed going on mystery trips with her niece, Janet, playing cards, and enjoyed taking pictures.

She is survived by two nephews, David Breton and his wife, Rae, and Arthur Gueguen and his wife, Paula; four nieces, Janet Brousseau and husband, Ronald, Joan Brown and husband, Don, and Irene Smith and husband Ray, and Cindy Breton, wife of Moe; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Ludger Breton; two sisters, Carmen Breton and Juliette Gueguen; and a nephew, Moe (Maurice) Breton.
