BRUNSWICK – Jean P. Livernois, 84, of Weymouth Street, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, at a local hospital, following a long illness.

He was born in Brunswick, on Nov. 3, 1920, the son of Phillip Z. and Alice St. Onge Livernois. He attended St. John’s School.

On May 30, 1949, he married Yvette M. Couette, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brunswick.

Jean worked for many years as a Line Finisher at Pejebscott Paper Mill. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling with the Knights of Columbus team and the Senior League. He loved to travel with his wife, especially on cruises to such places as Hawaii, Bermuda, and the Bahamas. He was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. He also enjoyed volunteering his time to the church as a server or collector for Mass. His greatest love, however, was spending time with his family.

Jean was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brunswick, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a very dedicated member.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years; two sons, Dennis G. and his wife, Patricia Livernois, of Poland and Paul P. and his wife, Karen, of Londonderry, N.H.; three daughters, Claudette S. and her husband, Dennis Randall, of Topsham, Theresa A. and her husband, Marshall Judkins, of Orr’s Island, and A. Marie and her husband, Andy Bailes, of Bowdoinham; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Simone Livernois of Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Leo, George, Laval, Conrad, and Emil Livernois; and two sisters, Pauline Fournier and Ursule Beaulieu.
