LEWISTON – Rose I. Albert, 91, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Montello Manor, with her family by her side, following a long illness.
She was cared for by dedicated, professional and loving health care providers.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 10, 1914, the daughter of David and Delcia (Gagnon) Caron. She attended local schools.
She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, and loved spending time with family and friends.
Her hobbies were gardening, sewing and working on crafts of all kinds.
On Feb. 22, 1940, she married Philippe J. Albert, at Holy Cross Church, in Lewiston and he died on Nov. 2, 1999.
She was a caring and giving person who prayed for everyone. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church, a member of Ladies of St. Anne, Cercle du St. Sacrement and the Senior Group.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Caron of Lewiston and Joseph Caron of Lisbon; a daughter, Therese Baillargeon and her husband, Lionel, of Greene; two sons, Roger Albert and his wife, Elaine, and Gerry Albert of Lewiston; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son, Normand Albert; two brothers, Roland and Fernand Caron; and one sister, Laurette Mathieu.
