In this year’s election, I will be enthusiastically voting Ben Chin for mayor of Lewiston. He will bring a new vision, an innovative spirit and a unifying voice to the office.
With the right leadership, Lewiston can strategically position itself for current and future success by advancing its ongoing downtown redevelopment. Like myself and my family, millennials, young families and baby boomers are choosing to live, work and play in downtown centers in ever-increasing numbers. Chin has innovative plans for encouraging commercial investment, building equitable housing options and developing the creative economy. Those efforts will benefit current residents, attract new residents and businesses and initiate increased economic development.
In order to achieve these goals, Chin’s leadership, vision, and energetic advocacy for Lewiston are the qualities Lewiston needs as its next mayor.
I hope other Lewiston residents will join me in voting Ben Chin for mayor on Nov. 7.
Kevin Morin, Lewiston
