LEWISTON – Lorette L. Beland, 86, of 244 Lisbon Road, Farwell Mill Complex, Lisbon, passed away on Jan. 9, at Montello Manor.
Born in Asbestos, Canada, on March 7, 1918, she was the daughter of Nathaniel and Corinne Fouquette L’Heureux.
Educated in local schools, she was employed by Pepperell for 20 years and Bates College Den for 22 years.
She was a member of the Lisbon Senior Citizens, and her hobbies included, crossword puzzles, knitting afghans, dining out, soap operas, and enjoying her two grandsons. She was also a member of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Loraine and husband, D. Craig Canedy, of St. Pete Beach, Fla., and Venise and husband, Robert A. Berube, of Lisbon; two grandsons, Robert S. Berube of Charlestown, Mass., and Richard K. Berube of Malden, Mass.; three brothers, Laurent and wife, Theresa Doucette, of Lewiston, Lucien Doucette of Lewiston, Rudolphe Doucette of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one sister, Anita and husband, Clarence Fortier, of Sarasota, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; and a godchild, Carol Langelier.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Clement Beland, who passed away in 1985.
