BRIDGTON – Derwood Howard Hill, 78, of Waterford, died Monday, Nov. 22, at Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Norway, July 31, 1926, the son of Hartwell and Alice Mitchell Hill. He attended school in Limerick and Norway.

He was a union carpenter with the Local 538 in Berlin/Concord, N.H., retiring in 1982.

He married Lelia Pike in 1946.

He is survived by his wife of Waterford; three sons, Barry Hill and his wife, Joan, of Norway, Dan Hill and his wife, Karen, of South Paris, and Scott Hill and his wife, Linda, of Norway; grandchildren, Lecia Curtis and her husband, Daniel II, of Norway, Alan Hill and his wife, Tammy, of Norway, Sean Hill and his wife, Johanna, of Brunswick, Chad Hill, of Norway, and Tucker Hill, of Norway; great-grandchildren, Samantha Hill, Peter Hill, Daniel Curtis III, and Matthew Curtis, all of Norway; a sister, Gloria Hill, of South Paris; and two brothers, Donald and his wife, Madelyn, of Litchfield, and Albert and his wife, Carolyn, of Waterford.
