FARMINGTON – Mildred “Millie” C. White, 90, died Sunday morning, Oct. 10, at Pinewood Terrace.

She was born April 27, 1914, in Moores Bridge, Ala., a daughter of the late Ethel Lou (McCool) Chilton.

“Millie,” married Raymond L. White, and together owned and operated Tip Bottling Plant in Hickory, N.C. After selling the bottling plant, they moved to East Hartford, Conn., where she worked as a Master Welder at Pratt & Whitney for over 20 years until her retirement at age 68.

In 1982, she moved to Salem, and lived in Kingfield prior to moving to Pinewood Terrace where she had been a resident for the past seven years. She will be remembered as a wonderful woman who loved God, family, friends, animals, music and nature.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth Coble and her husband, Jesse, of Palmdale, Calif.; a brother, James Connell and his wife, Phylis, of Marshfield, Mass.; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Deborah and Norman Howard and their family, of Strong.

She was predeceased by her mother, her husband, Ray, and two brothers, Morris and Victor Connell.
