FARMINGTON – Wesley H. Walker, 72, of Phillips, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the emergency room at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington.
Born in Strong, April 2, 1932, the son of Edgar H. and Laura Hinkley Walker, he was educated in Strong schools.
He married Jeanette Bubier in May of 1954 in Strong. She died in 1993. Wesley then married Lucretia Dudley on Oct. 2, 1998 in Phillips. He worked for Forster Manufacturing Co. in Strong for 33 years, retiring in 1992.
He loved gardening, riding four-wheelers, camping, fishing, cooking and carpentry. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lucretia Dudley, of Phillips; a son, Michael Walker and his companion, Angela, of Strong; two daughters, Terri Walker of Strong, and Joyce Savage and her husband, Hugh Sr., of Strong; stepson, Dana Dudley and his wife, Sharon, of Phillips; two brothers, Erland Walker of Farmington, and Lloyd Walker of Connecticut; two sisters, Marion Haines of Avon, and Catherine Pillsbury Evans of Jay; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
