HIGH POINT, N.C. – Mary Agnes Higgins Maher, 75, a resident of 2328 Addison Boulevard, died Friday, June 25, at High Point Regional Hospital.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., May 30, 1929 a daughter of Raymond A. Higgins and Margaret Armstrong Higgins. She was a graduate of the Philadephia School of Business and was of the Catholic faith. On Nov. 29, 1954 she was married to William Joseph (Bill) Maher who survives of the home. Also surviving are two daughters, Cathy Maher Vernon of High Point and Janet Maher Huneycutt and husband, Rodney of Albemarle; two sons, William Joseph Maher, Jr. and wife Gwen of Palmdale, Calif. and Stephen Andrew Maher and wife, Jodie Leigh of Turner; sister, Mary Jane Donavan of Pompano Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Matthew ClaytonVernon, Emily Lauren Vernon, Eric William Huneycutt, Griffin Daniel Huneycutt, Nicole Marie Maher, Brandon Andrew Maher and Patrick Joseph Maher; two step-grandchildren, Trent Davis Vernon and wife, April and Robert Kenneth Huneycutt.
