LEWISTON – Diana C. Collette, 90, a resident of Montello Manor Nursing Home died Thursday, June 10, following a long illness. She had resided at Parkview Nursing Home in Livermore Falls since 1996, before moving to the nursing home in Lewiston.

She was born on March 17, 1914, in Lewiston, the daughter of Arthur and Clair Gilbert Chabot and attended the schools of Livermore Falls. On April 11, 1931, she married Joseph Collette at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and made their home in East Livermore. Mr. Collette passed away in April of 1966.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and the company of her cats.

She is survived by a son, Norman Collette of Turner; a daughter, Rita Brown of Turner; two sisters, Elsie Briggs of Auburn and Pearl Riley of Augusta; two brothers, Charles Chabot of Lewiston and John Chabot of Auburn; a special son-in-law, Eddie Field; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by an infant son; a daughter, Mary Field; a grandson, Kenneth Field; and six brothers, Patrick, William, Edward, Francis, Joe and Peter Chabot.
