The Denmark Arts Center welcomes Miss Maybell & Slimpickins on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. This unique and talented duo is from Jackson, N.H., bringing a rustic swing music style bordering on a jug band. The duo plays everything from classic jazz standards to favorite, obscure country ragtime blues alongside original tunes. An eclectic range of sounds emerge Miss Maybell and Slimpickins perform on kazoos, washboards, banjos, jugs, guitars and foot-stomping percussion.
