1911 – 2004
AUBURN – Augusta Olstein, 92, of 56 Old Carriage Rd., Auburn, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, at Clover Manor.
Born in New York City, May 7, 1911, she was the daughter of Max and Rose Hollander Jaskula. Educated in New York schools, she was married to Jacob A. Olstein in 1935.
She was employed as head bookkeeper for several manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in New York, moving to Auburn in 1987.
A member of the Temple Shalom Synagogue, she enjoyed reading and traveled extensively with her husband.
Survivors include her husband of Auburn; two sons, Michael Olstein, M.D. and his wife Linda of West Newton, Mass., and Joel Olstein, M.D. and his wife Sheri of Auburn; seven grandchildren, Richard Olstein and his wife Ashley, Lisa Olstein and her husband David Goodrich, Deborah Olstein, Daniel Olstein, Rachel Olstein, Sarah Beth Olstein, and Zachary Olstein; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Samantha Olstein.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Jaskula.
