1911-2003
BRUNSWICK – Grace Gagne Cloutier, 92, of Weymouth Street, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at Amenity Manor Nursing Center, following a long illness.
Born in Brunswick, June 25, 1911, the daughter of Arthur J. and Marieanne Thibeault Gagne, she graduated from St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick in 1926.
Grace worked as a secretary at Verney Mill until its closing. She was a cashier at Jarvis Restaurant and then was a bookkeeper and secretary at the Brunswick Manufacturing Company until her retirement.
She was a member of L’Union St. Jean Baptiste, the Third Order of Mary and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brunswick.
Survivors include two sisters, Bernadette Dugal of Brunswick and Ginette Beauchesne of Auburn; two brothers, Anthony Gagne of Brunswick and Father Donald Gagne of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Cloutier on Oct. 19, 1992; three brothers, Arthur A., Sylvio W. and Doue A. Gagne and three sisters, Imelda G. Tetu, Mary Jane Levesque and Therese Lachance.
