1944-2003
LEWISTON – James Robert Allen, 59, a resident of Leeds, died Sunday, Dec. 7, at CMMC following a long illness.
He was born on March 8, 1944, the son of Robert and Charlotte Clark Allen. He attended the schools of Turner and was a 1962 graduate of Leavitt Institute. Jim furthered his education at Husson College in Bangor, graduating in 1966 with a degree in accounting.
On March 30, 1963 he married Patricia Wilson of Turner. He worked for many years as a controller at area auto dealerships. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow up.
He is survived by: his son, Jeffrey Allen of Norton, Mass. and a daughter, Barbara Angell of Leeds; six grandchildren, Kristin, Amanda and Tyler Angell and Nicole, Megan and Jack Allen; a brother, Clark Allen of Rangeley; an aunt, Helen Clark of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Doris.
