LEWISTON – James O. Moore, 53, a resident of Bartlett Street in Lewiston, died Thursday, Nov. 20 at CMMC following a long illness.
He was born in Farmington on March 11, 1950, the son of Owen E. and Avis M. Flagg Moore.
Jim attended the schools of Temple and Leavitt Institute. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war, stationed in Germany. Following his military service Jim worked at Livermore Shoe Company in Livermore Falls and also local shoe shops in Lewiston. He always looked forward getting together with his family and friends playing the guitar and singing.
He is survived by two sisters, Joan M. Phair of Wilton and Jeannette M. Jewell of Livermore, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his longtime companion, Cleora Brewster. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, John Moore, in 1990 and a sister, Juanita Drown, in 2001.
