1947 – 2003

LEWISTON – Donald Fontaine, 56, died peacefully Sunday evening, Nov. 9, at his home at Twenty-Four Old Lisbon Road, Lewiston, after a long illness.

Born in Portland, Aug. 14, 1947, he was a compassionate and caring man with a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He loved people and animals and enjoyed being involved in his home and community.

During his illness, “Don” kept his positive attitude and a smile on his face. He was strong, brave and a hero in all eyes. It was a pleasure and honor to have known him. He will not be forgotten and will be sadly missed by all.

A wonderful and supportive family, who cherished him every day, survives him.
