1937 – 2003
DURHAM – Victor Lee Gott, 66, of Bowker St., Brunswick, died Thursday, Sept. 25, at the home of his daughter and son in-law on the Leighton Road.
He was born in Brunswick July 28, 1937, the son of Gerald and Winifred Erskine Gott Sr. He attended Brunswick schools. For several years Mr. Gott worked for Hackett’s John Deere in Topsham. For 26 years, until the time of his death Mr. Gott worked for the State of Maine Department of Transportation in Topsham.
On Dec. 22, 1978 he married Therese Labbe.
Mr. Gott enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time in Harpswell and riding around speaking to friends.
Surviving besides his wife of Brunswick are three daughters, Jennifer Gott of Biddeford, Terry Sirois of Bowdoinham and Kim Carter of Durham; a stepdaughter, Cathy Hennessey of Bradford, Mass.; a stepson, Ronald Morhidge of Lisbon Falls; three sisters, Lois Hyde of Lakeview Plantation, Patricia Bergeron and Mary Ellen Cooper both of Brunswick; four brothers, Gerald H. Gott Jr. of South Harpswell, Marshall Gott of Brunswick, Merle Gott of Topsham and G. William Gott of Woolwich; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
