1923 – 2003
FARMINGTON – Lionel Richard, 80, of Jay, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Riley, a son of Andre and Domethilde (Boudreau) Richard. He was raised and lived most of his life in Riley with his late wife Frances Mancine.
Mr. Richard was a member of St. Rose of Lima church and the Knights of Columbus in Jay. He was also a member of various senior citizen groups in the area.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Knight and her husband Jack; two granchildren, John Knight Jr. and Shanon Bencivengo and her husband Ken; four great-grandsons, Justin, Jason, Joel and Jesse all of West Haven, Conn.; three brothers, Anatole and his wife Louise of Wilton, Emire and his wife Lucille of Jay, and Adrice and his wife Pauline of Livermore Falls; two sisters-in-law, Gerry of Jay and Claire of Henderson, Nev.; a dear friend, Ellie Mitchell of Livermore Falls.
He was predeceased by a sister, Bernadette; and brothers, Louie and Rudolph.
