1936 – 2003

LEESBURG, Fla. – Jeannette C. Fortin, 66, died July 29, at Avanti Rehab Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lewiston, Aug. 11, 1936, she was the daughter of Emile and Glorianne (Poussard) Gauthier.

She married Robert Fortin on June 29, 1957 at Holy Cross Church. They moved to Florida in 1965 for the comfort of a warmer climate. They had left the Florida Keys seven years ago to make their home in Fruitland Park, Fla.

She enjoyed her flowers and family gatherings and especially her Siamese cat “Ca-tou.”

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Robert; one brother, Maurice and his wife, Jacqueline of Florida; nieces and nephews; two aunts; and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Normand.
