1924 – 2003

PORTLAND – Lucien L. Desjardins, 79, of 1801 NE. 62 Street #130, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and formerly of 292 Russell St., Lewiston died Tuesday, July 29, at Maine Medical Center.

Born in Drummond, N.B., Canada, May 3, 1924, a son of Johnny and Jeanne St. Pierre Desjardins he was educated in Canadian schools. He worked as a master electrician for Local Union 567 I.B.E.W.

Mr. Desjardins was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Lewiston Lodge of Elks. He volunteered for Community Concept and was on the Board of Directors in Florida, for Georgian Court complex. He enjoyed taking walks, shuffleboard and helping people.

He is survived by his wife, the former Hectorine A. Boissonnault of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., whom he married Sept. 6, 1954; three daughters, Linda Cayouette and her husband Marcel of Montreal, Pauline St. Hilaire and her husband Dan of Coral Spring, Fla., Louise Beaule and her husband Thomas of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Natacha and Danielle Cayouette, Nick, Ben and Zack St.Hilaire, Josh and Tyson Beaule; a sister, Lucille Perreault; a brother, Father Reno Desjardins S.C. of Canada.

He was predeceased by a sister, Aline Scruton; and two brothers, Louis and Albert Desjardins.
