1934 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Laurier G. Ouellette, 68, a resident of Botka Hill Road, Livermore, died Saturday morning, July 19, very unexpectedly, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

He was born in Livermore, on Nov. 1, 1934, the son of John B. and Emma Cantin Ouellette. He was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Lorraine LaPointe of Jay at St. Rose of Lima Church on July 7, 1956.

He and his wife raised their family on Botka Hill in Livermore. He was the owner and operator of Ouellette Trash for many years. He worked at the Otis & Androscoggin mills for International Paper and retired from Wausau-Mosinee Paper Otis Mill in Jay. Laurier was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. He enjoyed helping everyone, spent much time at his camp on Brettuns pond. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed woodworking, jack-of-all trades, loved his grandchildren and did many hours of volunteer work for Senior High Youth Ministry at St. Rose of Lima Church.

He is survived by his wife of Livermore; one son, Gary Ouellette of Livermore; one daughter, Penny and her husband Bernie Laverdiere of Fayette; four brothers, Percy and his wife Doris Ouellette of Livermore Falls, Aurel and his wife Marie (Mickey) Ouellette of Manfield, Ohio, Adrien and his wife Barbara of Nashua, N.H., Paul Ouellette of Belgrade; one sister, Pauline Berube of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Ryan and Courtney Laverdiere. He was predeceased by two sons, Lee and Dale; one sister, Dorothy Cyr; two brothers, Roland (Chick) and Lucien Ouellette.
