1924 – 2003

AUBURN – Edgar Levesque, 79, of E.Hardscrabble Road, died Monday, July 14, at Clover Manor Nursing Home.

Born in Madawaska June 2, 1924, a son of Eddie and Mattie Beaulieu Levesque. He was educated in Madawaska schools and worked as a machine operator for the Auburn Highway Department for 40 years.

Mr. Levesque was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Parish, Golden Age Club, Association Canados Americaine and New Auburn Social Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Carmen A. Levesque of Auburn, whom he married Sept. 14, 1946; two sons, Walter (Wally) Levesque and his wife Raymonde of Auburn, Richard (Dickey) Levesque of Lexington; three grandchildren, Rachel Levesque and companion Chip Rowe, Brian and Jamie Levesque, Susan Levesque and fiancée Tim Gatto; a great-granddaughter, Alexia; two sisters, Rina DelPriore and husband James of Ft. Waye, Ind., Angela Purdy and husband Raymond of Georgia; four brothers, Willard and his wife Arlene of Hartford, Roland and his wife Anna of W.Gorham, Clifford and his wife Cecile of Gardiner, Albine and his wife Dorothy of New Jersey; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Walter Levesque.
