1931 – 2003
BRUNSWICK – Mary A. Toth Travers, 71, of Spring Street, Freeport died Monday, July 14, at Parkview Adventist Medical Center.
She was born in Watertown, NY, Dec. 6, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Anna Delhonae Sarama. She was raised and educated in New York. She married Michael Toth Jr. and in 1952 moved to Maine.
She was a homemaker and in later years she remained extremely close with the Toth family. She was known to her grandchildren as “Gringie”. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Travers also volunteered at the Freeport Clothes Tree and was known for assisting seniors including residents at Brookside Village in Freeport.
Surviving are three daughters, Veronica Small and her husband Scott of Freeport, Linda T. LeBlanc of Louisiana, and Anna Ridley of Bowdoin; four sons, Joey M. Toth and his wife Jackie of Brunswick, Thomas M. Toth of Lewiston, Patrick Toth of Bowdoinham and Vincent M. Toth of Litchfield; two sisters, Frances Chartrand and Helen Kepler both of New York; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Patty Ann Toth.
