1904 – 2003

LEWISTON – Ethel L. Hall, 98, formerly of 429 Main St., died Tuesday, July 8, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion where she resided for the past three years.

Born in Wales, Oct. 12, 1904, a daughter of Lester and Carrie Witherell Libby she graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1923. She was married to Allan F. Hall on Feb. 17, 1933. He died Sept. 27, 1974.

She worked for New England Telephone Co. and retired from Civil Defense. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Lewiston United Baptist Church, Thornes Corner Grange, Fidelity 4 Rebekah.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Loann Smith and husband Richard of Bangor, Patricia Barker and husband Virgil of Bangor, Gary Hall and wife Rebecca of Waldoboro, Lawrence, James and Connie Haskell.

She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Carroll Hall; a daughter, Virginia Borgstrom; and a brother, Delbert Libby.
