1919 – 2003

LEWISTON – Rita I. Milici, 83, died Thursday, June 5, at Montello Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Auburn on Oct. 9, 1919, the daughter of Arthur and Philomena Picard Morneau. She attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church.

In September of 1955 she married Harry Milici. They settled in the Lewiston area and she worked in the local shoe industry for most of her life until her retirement. She could have been described as a professional mom and nana because of her ability to love and care for her family, especially her grandchildren which were her pride and joy. She was always smiling and although she will be missed by her family and friends they know that she will be smiling down on them from heaven.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet King and her significant other Sean McGinnis of Lewiston; a son, Lucien Theriault and his wife Barbara of Fla.; five grandchildren, Jesse Caron and Travis King of Lewiston, Robert Theriault and his wife Susan of Fla., Kenneth Theriault and his wife Christine of N.H. and William Theriault and his wife Amy of Portland; three great-grandchildren, John, Brent, and William Theriault; a sister, Bernadette Paridis of Ariz.; and a brother, Roland Morneau and his wife Bobbi of Conn. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1976.
