GREENE – Gary “Buster” Ronald Smith, 50, of Sawyer Road, passed away Friday, May 30, at his home.
Born in Lewiston July 7, 1952, the son of William and Loretta Brule Smith, he attended Sabattus schools.
Buster enjoyed his work, smelt fishing, outdoor activities, playing pool and hanging out with his family and friends.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Buster worked in drywall services for many years. He was later self-employed in drywall services.
Buster was predeceased by his father, William Smith; a brother, Robert Smith; and a nephew, Brian Clifford.
Survivors include his mother, Loretta Smith of Greene; a son, Eric Smith of Greene; a daughter, Rebecca Papsis of Lewiston; a brother, Mike Smith, and his wife, Dot, of Greene; another brother, Larry Smith, and his wife, Connie, of New Hampshire; a sister, Shelia Clifford, and her husband, Leland, of Sabattus; granddaughters Victoria Papsis and Baylee Lane; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
