BATH – Ann Jackson, 63, a resident of Topsham, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Hill House, Bath.
She was born, Dec. 19, 1940 in Salem, Mass., a daughter of E. Randall and Barbara Sinclair Jackson. She graduated from Danvers High School and attended the Chandler School for Women and the University of Connecticut.
She worked for United Fruit and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston for many years and as Director of Community Resources and Special Events Coordinator at the Essex Institute in Salem, Mass. She was also active on the Danvers Town Council. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating from Eastern Nazarene College in 1996 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. In 2002, she moved with her dog Cooper, from Danvers, Mass. to Topsham, where they made many new friends.
Her family will remember “Auntie” for her wit, her wry sense of humor and all the time we spent laughing together with her. She had a unique outlook on life and an incredible love for her family. She was always there to listen and offer us her warm company. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, taking walks with her dog Cooper, reading, and anything having to do with local, family or other history.
She is survived by two sisters, Priscilla Jackson of Oakland and Susan Karp and husband, Steven of Glens Falls, N.Y.; nieces, Jeffy Usher and husband, Jim of Topsfield, Mass., Deb Light and husband, John of Jericho, Vt., Sarah Pearce and husband and Noah of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. and nephew, Matt Glendinning and wife, Katherine of Haddon Heights, N.J. She will also be especially missed by her grandnieces and nephew, Nicole and Colby Hamilton and Hannah and Maddie Light.
