EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Darlene C. Burgess, 39, passed unexpectedly July 6, in East Rochester, N.Y.
She was born on June 23, 1965, and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1983. She furthered her education at the University of Maine, where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Her existence was one of nature’s greatest creations. She spent much of her time as one with nature. Whether she was hiking, fishing, camping, gardening or cooking (some of her favorite activities), she did so with the interest of others first on her mind. Much like the flowers in her garden, she nurtured those around her, giving life and shedding light on just about everyone her life touched.
Even in the work place, her uncanny ability to brighten lives around her shown through. She worked in Auburn at Veribest Computer Systems and also for Hahn Automotive in North Carolina as well as New York.
She helped others endure the stresses of their jobs by lightening the mood with her laughter and contagious smile. She truly set an example for everyone (not just those around her), of what it means to give endlessly. She will continue to keep giving even long after we all join her in the afterlife.
Survivors include her son, Joshua D. Couture; her mother, Linda J. Burgess; her aunt, Carol D. Jones; and her two brothers, Dan K. Burgess and Daren L. Burgess.
