AUBURN – Archibald A. Moore passed away Aug. 9 at Clover Living Center.

Born in Gardiner, July 30, 1912, the son of Winifred Barrett Moore and Frank Moore, he had been a resident in the area most of his life.

He was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

He married Germaine Emery on Nov. 30, 1944.

Survivors include one son, Stephen B. Moore, of Gray; one step-daughter, Beverly Dolan, of Lewiston; one stepson, Lee Emery, of Auburn; one sister, Madeline Fremeau, of Kittery; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and six sisters.

He was predeceased by his wife, of 57 years, Germaine; one daughter, Lynda Stanley; two brothers; and six sisters.
