PORTLAND – Blaine McKeen, 40, of 12 Day Road, Gorham died July 28, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 30, 1963, the son of Carolee Landry and her husband, Richard, of Canton, and Ellis McKeen and his wife, Mary, of West Gardiner.

He has lived for the past eight years at Spiller Park Apartments, an assisted living facility operated by Goodwill of Northern New England. Staff at this facility were his second family.

He loved life and people and was caring and giving and was able to provide life for other people by donating his organs through the New England Organ Bank.

He is survived by three brothers, Richard McKeen and family of Holliston, Mass., Brad McKeen and family of Dixfield, and Mike McKeen, of Canton; grandparents, Howard and Edith Stevens, of Canton.
