RUMFORD – Calvin J. “Jim” Fuller Sr., 70, died Monday, July 26, at his residence on the Wyman Hill Road, Rumford.
A resident of the area all of his life, he was born April 10, 1934, in Rumford, a son of Paul W. and Lynda Barnett Fuller Sr. He graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford.
Calvin served with the United States Air Force as a S/Sgt from 1953 to 1957.
He had worked as a wood yard superintendent for Boise Cascade Paper Company in Rumford until his retirement.
He was a member of Napoleon Ouellette Post #24, American Legion, and he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and traveling. He especially loved the time he spent at his camp at Eustis.
He was married in El Paso, Texas in Jan. 20, 1956, to the former Catalina Ramirez, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include a son, Calvin J. Fuller Jr and his wife, Kathleen, of Rumford; a daughter, Elizabeth Nicols and her husband, Scott, of Rumford; four brothers, Earle and his wife, Doris, of West Peru, Arthur and his wife, Jennifer, of Greenville, S.C., Roger of Farmington, and Paul Fuller, Jr. & wife Maureen of Hertford, N.C.; 2 sisters Alice Clark and her husband, Bruce, of Dixfield, Carol Doyen and her husband, Ray, of Hertford, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Kelly Ann, Joshua J., and Jennifer Fuller of Rumford, Cassie, Angela and Shawna Cormier of Rumford, Scotty and Sarah Nicols of Rumford; two great-grandchildren, Victoria Rose Meader and Blake Michael Farnum of Rumford.
