GROVELAND, Mass. – Pauline “Polly” M. Colby, 95, formerly of 37 Main St., Pittsfield, N.H., died May 25, at her daughters home following a brief illness.

She was born in Andover, the daughter of Calvin and Mary (Jank) Crooker. She had lived in Pittsfield since 1951, having moved from Norwood, Mass.

She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church of Pittsfield and also a member of the Church Dorcas Guild and the Ladies Aid. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Pleiades Chapter of The Order of Eastern Star in Pittsfield, and was a longtime member of the Pittsfield Women of Rotary.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Colby of Rochester, N.H., and Bruce Colby of Lexington Park, Md.; a daughter, Barbara Band of Groveland, Mass.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Leach of Tilly, New Brunswick, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles S. Colby in 1975.
