LEWISTON – Marie-Ange C. Fournier, 69, of 69 Laurier St. died peacefully Friday, April 9, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lewiston Jan. 30, 1935, a daughter of William and Zoraide Morency Rioux she attended Lewiston schools.

Mrs. Fournier was a member of Holy Family Parish and worked as a life long stitcher retiring from Acorn Products in 2001.

The biggest joy in her life was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She also had many close nieces and nephews who brightened her life. She enjoyed people and was loved by everyone.

She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Fournier of Lewiston whom she married July 30, 1955; two daughters and their husbands, Tina-Marie Landry and Guy of Lewiston, Janice Therrien and James of Wales; six grandchildren, Erica, Nicholas and Luke Bonenfant, James II, Jacob and Joshua Therrien; a sister, Stella Chaloux and husband Marcel of Lewiston; and four brothers, Benoit Rioux and wife Clotille of Lewiston, Jean Rioux and wife Fleurette of Auburn, Normand Rioux of Durham, Daniel Rioux and wife Rita of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Rita Lemelin, Bibianne Langlois, and Bernadette Boucher; and two brothers, Antonio and Gerard Rioux.
