LEWISTON – Josephine M. Perry, 67, died Thursday, April 15, in Lewiston. She was a resident of Bradley St. in Lewiston, and was formerly of Rumford.
Born in Rumford, she was the daughter of Lester and Leona (Peare) Sawyer. She attended Rumford Schools. She worked at the Rumford Hospital in the housekeeping dept.
She was a member of the Mexico Congregational Church, the Oxford Pamona Grange and the Rumford Grange 115 and the State Grange. She was a member of the Greater Rumford Senior Citizens and the meals site.
She was married in Rumford, on Oct. 5, 1957, to the late Albert Perry who died in Rumford on June 16, 2002.
Survivors include her son, Lester Perry of Lewiston; daughters, Patti Perry of Lewiston, Leona Perry and Daniel Berry of Dixfield; three sisters, June Grace of Rumford, Madeline Littlehale and her husband Edward of Andover, Miss Ina Sawyer of Hallowell; several nieces and nephews; and her special cats, Princess, Frisky, Bear & Lucky.
She was predeceased by her husband; parents; and a brother, Harold.
