AUBURN — Robert G. Burnham, 61, a longtime resident of Auburn, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Auburn Hospice House.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 13, 1956, a son of the late Harold R. & Jean A. (Beckman) Burnham. He grew up in Auburn, attending local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1974.
Robert worked for over 20 years at Elmet Technologies (formerly Philips Elmet) of Lewiston. He was a great gardener and annually had a flower and vegetable garden. He also dabbled in fishing, cooking and writing.
He is survived by a daughter, Chavonne Duteau, and her husband, Kevin, of Auburn; and six grandchildren, Tiah, Noah and Izaiah Duteau and Emma, Katie and Zoey Dill. He also leaves a brother, Raymond Burnham, of Lewiston; and a sister Susan Bedford and her husband, Jeff of Greene; as well as many dear friends. He was also the father of the late Abigail R. Dill, who died on March 6, 2012; he was also the brother of the late Michael Burnham.
