AUGUSTA – Frank E. Beale Jr., 71, a resident of the Maine Veterans’ Home, Augusta, formerly of Farmington, died Sept. 8.

He was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Boston, Mass., a son of Frank and Lillian (Holmes) Beale Sr. He was a 1951 graduate of Farmington High School and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a mechanic for Pratt and Whitney and the Boeing Corp. and traveled extensively for these companies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, as well as State-side.

He was a member of the Maine Masonic Lodge 20 A. F. & A.M., Farmington and the OES. He will be remembered as a devoted son who faithfully called his mother every evening for the last eight years of her life.

He is survived by a brother, George Beale and his wife, Beverly, of Industry; a sister, Barbara Titcomb and her husband, Richard, of Farmington; a companion, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Payne, of Kingfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and a great-great nephew and niece.
