LEWISTON – Monique J. St. Pierre, 64, of 74 Grove St. died Friday, May 15, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lewiston, May 4, 1940 a daughter of Gilbert and Marie Rose Dutil Fournier. She was educated in Lewiston schools graduating from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1958.
She worked at Knapp Shoe for several years and retired from Hannaford Bros. of Lewiston after 24 years of service in 2002.
Monique was a member of Holy Family Parish where she served in the music ministry, a founding member of the Pine Tree Warriors, Franco American War Veterans Auxiliary Post 31 and a member of the “Just Us Entertainers” and was a volunteer of the “Festival de Joie”.
She loved taking time for her family and friends especially spending time with her grandchildren, “her angels”.
She enjoyed singing and entertaining people wherever she went. She loved to pass the time by shopping or reading a book. She always had a wonderful story to share with whoever was enjoying her company
She is survived by her husband, Marcel L. St. Pierre of Lewiston, whom she married January 18, 1964; three daughters and their spouses, Debra A. and Raymond Poulin of Turner, Sandra M. and Jeffrey Ramich of Lisbon, Melissa M. and Michael Noel of Sabattus; grandchildren, Thomas, Justin, Kristin, Kyrstin, Cameron, Alexis, Sara and Julia; brother, Gilbert R. Fournier and wife, Suzanne of Ky.
She was predeceased by her mom and dad and brother, Robert L. Fournier.
