LADY LAKE, Fla. – Florence A. (Gagnon) Verville, 91, died Monday, Aug. 7, after a short bout of illness.

She was the daughter of Marie (Jacob) Gagnon and Auguste Gagnon.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1914, in Lewiston, where she was a longtime resident, running a home for child care for more than 20 years. She was also a seamstress at the Hillsboro Club in Pompano Beach, Fla. for more than 20 years. For the past 28 years, she has lived in Lady Lake.

She enjoyed sewing, upholstering, bingo, playing cards, entertaining, arts and crafts and painting.

She will be remembered by all for her constant smile and her outgoing personality. She made many friends throughout her lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Roger L. Verville, of Lady Lake; her daughter, Jeannette (Verville) Blanchette of Webster, N.H.; her two grandchildren, John C. Blanchette of Lewiston and Michelle R. (Blanchette) McKinnon of Concord, N.H.; her two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlyn McKinnon of Concord, N.H.; and two sisters, Mrs. Andrea (Gagnon) Poirier and Ms. Juliette Gagnon.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Robert Gagnon, Denis Gagnon, Origene Gagnon and Rosaire Gagnon; as well as one sister, Jeanne (Gagnon) Lebel.
