AUBURN – Irene C. Guimond, 86, formerly of 52 Summit St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Aug. 27, at Clover Manor.
She was born in St. Francis, P.Q., Sept. 25, 1919, a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Dubois Corriveau. She was educated in Lewiston schools.
She was married to Roland Guimond on May 31, 1944. He died Nov. 14, 1977.
She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Horizon 55 and Lewiston Senior Citizens. She was an avid bingo and card player.
She worked in the Continental Mill and later in the shoe industry.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Ronald and Pauline Guimond of Lewiston, Robert and Nancy Guimond of Pocasset, Mass., and Raymond and Diane Guimond of Kingsport, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Daniel Guimond, Ryan and his wife, Karri Guimond, Kris Guimond, Brandon Guimond; her great-granddaughter, Keana Guimond, and two brothers, Romeo and Roland Corriveau of Lewiston.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Yvonne Bellegarde and a brother, Leo Corriveau.
