LEWISTON – Carmen M. Bosse, 78, of 28 Newman St., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 19, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Dominique and Laura (Labbe) Asselin.

She was educated in Lewiston schools and went on to work at Bates College as a housekeeper for the college.

She also spent many years as a dedicated crossing guard for many of the Lewiston schools.

She spent her free time knitting, doing puzzles and playing cards with friends and family. She loved her two cats, Smokey and Midnight.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Bosse of Lewiston; sisters, Jacqueline Dubois of Lewiston and Marcelle Desrosiers of Florida; sisters-in-law, Cecile Asselin, Dorothy Asselin, and Carmen Morin, all of Lewiston, and Fleurange Bosse of Sabattus; and a brother-in-law Paul Picard, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Laurier L. Bosse; a daughter, Rachel Bosse; several brothers and a sister.
