NORWAY – Pauline R. Nadeau, 78, of High St., South Paris, died Saturday morning, Aug. 5, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Temple on Feb. 21, 1928, the daughter of Alexander and Mabel Merchant Goldsmith. She attended school in Temple and was a homemaker.

Pauline was a member of the Paris Hill Bible Church and knitted many mittens and slippers for children in the Norway-South Paris schools.

She had many accomplishments in life, but her greatest was her family.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Tom, of South Paris; her sons and daughters, Stephen M. Akers and his wife, Diane, of Litchfield, Sandra Thorne of South Paris, Linda Blackwell and her husband, James, of South Paris, Richard Akers and his wife, Sandra, of Greene, Susan Ray and her husband, Alan, of Lewiston, Edris Chouinard and her husband, Jim, of Lewiston, Catherine Knight of Oxford, Lisa Thibodeau of Lewiston, and Paul Thibodeau and his wife, Kelly, of Lewiston; a sister, Mrs. Conrad (Bessie) Dan of Auburn; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Lawrence and Mark.
