ELLSWORTH – Beverly A. Finethy died July 1, in Ellsworth, after a brief illness.

She was born in Rumford, July 1, 1932, the second daughter of Walter F. and Kathryn (Deltwa) Finethy, she attended local schools and graduated from Stephens High School, Class of 1951. She received training to be a certified nurses’ aide.

She worked in local nursing homes, and enjoyed taking care of patients. Beverly enjoyed outings to the lake, knitting, gardening and visiting with her family.

She will be sadly missed by nieces, Andrea and Wendy McCarthy of Ellsworth; sister, Nancy Ellrich of Englewood, Fla.; nieces, nephews and cousins, David Ellrich of Manchester by the Sea, Mass., Heidi and Richie Ellrich of Hallowell, Janice Ionta and family of Portland, “Bitsy” Ionta of Dixfield, Bruce and Bobby Vashaw of Gorham, N.H., Marlene Napolitano and family of Saugus, Mass., Kim Finethy of Brunswick and Craig Finethy of Portland; her aunts and uncles, Keenie and Ki Finethy of Rumford and Elwin Finethy of Dixfield; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Teddy McCarthy; brother, Wally Finethy; and nephew, William McCarthy.
