Thomas C. Judd Sr.
1912 – 2009
FARMINGTON — Thomas C. Judd Sr., 97, of Livermore, died early Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Orchard Park Rehabilitation & Living Center.
He was born on June 2, 1912, in Berlin, N.H., one of several children to Chester and Josephine (Lahaie) Judd. He attended Jay and Livermore Falls schools.
On Sept. 13, 1930, he married, Nathalie Wright in Livermore. She died on March 3, 1990.
He retired from IP after 47 years of service. He also worked for a short time at the Portland Ship Yard.
He was a member of IP’s Quarter Century and Tri-Mill Chapter. In his younger years, he played on several local baseball teams, enjoyed playing golf at Wilson Lake Country Club in Wilton, where he was a member, and bowling.
He is survived by his children, Betty Coombs of Livermore, Patricia Lawrence of West Paris, Marilyn Breton of Sterling, Va., and Larry Judd Sr. and his wife, Christine, of Livermore; grandchildren, Debbie Printy and her husband, Wayne, of Gray, Terry Berry and her husband, Clifford, of Livermore, Doug Coombs and his wife, Rosanna, of Livermore, Randy Breton and his wife, Trudy, of Hamilton, Va., Judy Green and her husband, Mitch, of Norway, Kathy Davis and her fiancé, Roger Rowley, of Sterling, Va., Larry Judd Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Seattle, Wash., Barry Judd and his wife, Karen, of Biddeford and Michelle Karman of Sterling, Va.; great-grandchildren, Michael Riley and his wife, Karen, Keith Riley, Jennifer and Jessica Berry, Allison Coombs, Mickey Green and his wife, Melissa, Timmy Hilden and his wife, Marcie, Chris Davis and his wife, Eryn, Nicholas Davis and his wife, Sara, William Davis, Ben and Douglas Breton, Aimee and Megan Karman, Christine, Claire and Alex Judd; five great-great-grandchildren, Avery Hilden, Sophie Green, Xander, Jaxon, and Maddox Davis.
He was predeceased by his wife; a son, Thomas C. Judd Jr. in June 2000; a granddaughter, Rhonda Lawrence on Dec. 1, 1965; sons-in-law, Wayne Lawrence on April 16, 2004, Adrien Breton on Dec. 13, 2008, and Charles Coombs on Dec. 29, 2008.
