Last November, a perfect storm swept Barack Obama into the presidency: a faltering economy presided over by a lame-duck president, whose only remedies were bailouts and printing more money; a slick, polished Chicago politician who delivered his pre-packaged, teleprompter-driven campaign speeches with artificial passion and one-word messages that even the most ignorant, disinterested, simple-minded American voters could comprehend; and lastly, a tired, short-tempered, boring and weak opponent.
Today, President Obama continues to be the luckiest politician in the history of the United States, because he is the recipient of a second perfect storm. With the complete support and collaboration of a Democrat-controlled Congress and a nauseously accommodating news media, he has been able to flawlessly impose his dream of turning the United States into a socialist/Marxist paradise, simply by taking full advantage of this country’s devastating economic crisis: bailouts of financial institutions and corporations in exchange for microscopic federal oversight and partial federal ownership; full complicity with Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, involving dangerous financial shell games and Ponzi schemes; creating trillions of dollars in new federal debt to be used for “economic stimulus”; and to relieve lending institutions of “toxic debt” so these same lenders can again lend money to unqualified people who want to buy homes and cars they can’t afford.
That is what the majority of American voters wanted when they voted last November. Never has the phrase “be careful what you wish for” been so appropriate.
