Republicans (with the exception of Sens. Snowe, Collins and Spector), so angry that they lost the election, have selfishly boycotted the president of the United States and the American people.
They accuse the president of squandering the next generation’s heritage. When they were in power, they gave huge tax cuts to the rich and financed a war in Iraq, which the U.S. invaded without proof of any weapons of mass destruction.
When President Clinton left office, there was a government surplus. When President Bush left office, the government was trillions of dollars in debt. No one accused him of squandering the future generations’ heritage.
The majority of Republicans in Congress are trying to shut down the government at a critical time. They want the president and the country to fail.
I hope American voters are taking notes and respond at the polls.
