I have held off writing this letter about innocent animals for months. But I have also been witnessing for months how cruel people can be to animals. It pains me.

Animals, whether kitten, puppy or other, can be cute, but as they get older, their owners can become very cruel. I have seen cats thrown, dogs hit, kicked, even beaten. It is so cruel.

I wonder how such people would take it if they were treated the way they treat their animals. I don’t think they could handle it. They would run away. Animals are different. They try to survive the best way they can. Sadly to say, some make it, some don’t.

I own two cats and would never, ever think of doing that to them. I do my best to feed outside cats to help them survive and not go hungry or cold when it is way below freezing.

It’s hard enough in this cruel world without being cruel to animals. They do have feelings and try to show it.
