It is important that elected officials realize if they cannot positively prove the new president was born on American soil, as required by the U.S. Constitution, they must do something and quickly.
Now, really, who cares where Obama was born? The people want Obama as president. However, the Constitution cares where Obama was born and politicians swore to God almighty that they would enforce the Constitution. When they find themselves before the God they swore by, just how will those politicians explain to God they used his name to verify a lie?
I suggest that the politicians get together and pass a law, real quick-like, that states Obama is a special case and President-elect Obama need not comply with the Constitution on this, as most Americans want the man as their president. The politicians have the office and authority to do this and make things legal, regardless of where the truth lies.
There are a lot of Americans who cannot support Obama until an exception in his case is made, or Obama proves he was born on American soil. Anything less violates the Constitution.
Where Obama was born is not the issue. The issue is compliance with the Constitution and conscience.
Some politicians might prefer to wait and use the birthplace requirement against Obama if they don’t like his presidency.
